September 17 Production Release

In this release, admins and instructors can set custom user visibility options for a course and the course Syllabus. When grading assignments, instructors view an alert in the Gradebook and SpeedGrader if an assignment receives an excessive amount of points. Instructors can also search for students by name when moderating a quiz.

Press Release: Canvas Creates Industry's First Mobile Annotation Capability for Best-in-Class Learning Management

This new annotation feature allows work to be completed inside Canvas, reducing a 20+ step process to three steps. As schools become increasingly digital, teachers and students are often faced with many disparate online tools that can force convoluted, confusing processes for downloading and uploading. Providing students with the ability to annotate documents directly inside Canvas eliminates the need for a separate app, which in turn removes the cost for another digital annotation tool.

New Partners

We added some great new partners in September. Check out GPA Learn, Heliocampus, and Unicon to see how these partners can help make learning easier and more fun in your classroom.

Partner Spotlight

eSyncTraining, a Canvas Community Partner and Adobe development partner, is the developer of the Canvas LTI integration for Adobe Connect.

Adobe Connect recently received top scores from Gartner for eLearning and Training within a virtual meeting platform, and is the top virtual classroom solution for universities around the world. The Canvas integration extends the ability of Canvas through the power of Adobe Connect, allowing users to incorporate custom applications such as gamification and video streaming directly into the virtual classroom. Reporting and meeting archives are sent back to your Canvas course, creating a synchronous learning environment.

Join us on October 20, 2106 to learn more about the Canvas LTI integration and custom pod offerings, or visit www.esynctraining.com/canvas.
