In case you missed it, here's what happened in the big, awesome world of groups.
Get Ready for a Canvas Podcast
Adam Williams is drumming up excitement over in the Canvas Admins group about doing The Canvas Podcast. "Originally I had envisioned this as a podcast just for Canvas admins, but as more thought goes in to the project, I am now thinking the audience and content should be broadened to all things Canvas," he states. Those interested participated in the first meeting about the podcast last Friday to chat about topic ideas, recording schedules and other logistics. Their next meeting is this Friday 6/12 3PM MST / 6 EDT / 10PM GMT. Ping Adam Williams if you're interested in participating in any aspect of production.
Student-Centered Learning is front and center
Jared Stein, our VP of Research and Education, wrote a post in the Instructional Designers group called Let's talk student-centered learning in Canvas . As most of you know, the theme of InstructureCon 2015 is SLC and his blog post was meant to start the conversation in our Canvas Community that will hopefully carry-on through -- and beyond InstructureCon. If you haven't read it, take a few minutes this week to check it out.
We are seeing more discipline-specific groups being suggested in the Canvas Community. We will create them as these requests gain momentum. For now, here's a Teaching Math in Canvas group and the Art, Performance, and Design group.
For those of you who are going to InstructureCon next week... we'll see you soon!
Otherwise, have a productive week in the community!
