Either you're about to start your courses or you've already started. Either way, we're probably all short on time and could use a few time-saving tips. Here are a few resources that can help you start your year off strong.
Outcome Creation in Bulk
If only there was an easier way to creating outcomes in bulk. Last fall Brian Rueckert asked the Canvas Admins group about Bulk Outcome creation using the API. In case you missed it, the insight he received helped him with his next steps. Check out the discussion and learn from fellow programmers.
Publish and/or Delete Pages in Bulk
You may find this time-saving tip very useful if a faculty has lots of course content (within wiki pages). James Jones offers a step-by-step process in the The specified item was not found. group about ways to Bulk Publish / Delete Pages. And for those keeping up with the resources that he's publishing in the community (either by following him or bookmarking his documents), one of his previous resources on How to list teachers who have published/unpublished courses just got an update.
Help Bulk Up Fellow Faculty
If you've 'been there, done that' and have leveraged Canvas for more than a few semesters or years, you may be able to help out Michael Welker. He posted this question in the Canvas User Engagement group: Top 10 Critical Steps for Faculty Canvas Newbies? Are there some steps that can be added to help smoothen the transition for faculty? Share your tips!
That's it for this week!
Next week we've got some new group announcements... stay tuned!
