How do I start a discussion in the Canvas Community?

The discussion tool is a great way to introduce new thoughts to the community and generate conversations.

Note: The discussion feature may not be enabled in certain areas of the community.

Visit Group or Place

Visit Group or Place

The most common place to start discussions related to Canvas is in the Find Answers area of the community. However, you can also post discussions in other places, such as groups.

Open Discussion

In the Actions menu [1], click the Discussion link [2].

Note: The discussion feature may not be enabled in certain areas of the community.

Create Discussion

Create Discussion

In the Title field [1], create a title for your discussion.

Use the rich content editor to insert an image, video, or code example into a discussion [2].

You can also link to additional content via @mention [3] or by uploading attachments [4].

Tag Post

Tag Post

Choose from a selection of existing tags or create new ones. Tags make content easily searchable.

Note: Tags will appear as you type.

Post Discussion

Post Discussion

Click the Post button.

By default, you will automatically be following your own discussion post. You will be notified when there is activity related to your post.
