We've Got Your Canvas Viewing Covered

It's been a bumper December.

We hosted our largest ever attended webinar with "How To Do Page Layouts in Canvas without Tables", presented by PS's very own Paul Millar. Following on from that groundbreaking feat, we also (sneakingly) recorded "Using H5P With Canvas". This webinaris hosted by Kerri Buttery who presented on the same topic as part of the recent VELG Conference.

Both these webinars (including our entire back catalog) are now available to view on the Priority APAC Community Page.

Happy Festive Season Viewing.

Infographs Explaining Canvas

Every so often, you uncover a diamond in the Canvas Community - and this one is very very shiny. Stephanie Jordan has compiled a list of free Infographics designed to highlight:

  • Key Canvas functionality
  • Stylish and consistently themed Iconography
  • Interactive linkage back to Community guides
  • Segmented resources based on your Canvas knowledge and ability (Basic to Advanced)
If you are looking to roll out specific functionality, drive better engagement or looking for inspiration on what to do next, this is a great resource to review!

Have you thought
about your EOY Rollover?

Whether there is a change in your training package or rolling over to the new school year, with some planning and product awareness, this process should be simple and pain free. The use of features such as:

  • Commons (Sharing of resources amongst teachers)
  • Blueprints (Course content or course template roll out)
  • CSVs (for bulk changes across Canvas) can assist in ensuring that learning staff spend more time developing their course as opposed to building from scratch

We've listed some resources below that may assist your initial planning but remember, you can always book in time with us to work through the execution of this plan.

K12 Outcomes NSW/VIC

In a recent discussion for our Canvas ANZ K12 users group webinar, a number of K-12 organizations asked about the availability of Outcomes in a Canvas consumable format. The concept was to aid teaching staff with the consistency when building rubrics and marking across their respective courses (as comparing like for likes). As of today, your Canvas CSM can now offer the Victorian (Foundation to 10) and New South Wales outcome files for you to upload into your Canvas instance. Get them live for the 2020 year starts.

OPERATION: Tech Bingo! Gamification

In a recent Canvas Live Event, the team looked at Gamification within Canvas.  Following on from the well-attended event, the international team has compiled resources within the Canvas Community (including resources to Badgr). Watch the Live Event and review the resources to get an idea of how Gamification can be used within your institution.
