When creating an event, you can choose between different event types.
|EVENT TYPE||DESCRIPTION||GREAT FOR||EXAMPLES|
|MEET UPS||Informal chats where people join to discuss a tool or topic of interest. Meet-ups include at least one facilitator to help jump-start the conversation.|
|OFFICE HOURS||Office hours allow community members to schedule time to support and help others with their Canvas questions.|
|TWITTER CHATS||Informal reverse Q&A on Twitter. The 'host' of the chat posts 3-6 questions related to a topic on Twitter over the course of 1 hour and others chime in with their comments and feedback. These should include #hashtags.|
|CANVAS TALKS||Events presented by one person or a group of people on a specific tool or topic of interest. It often includes a slide deck with open Q&A throughout (or at the end of) the session.|
|FIRESIDE CHATS||Curated events where a moderator brings together a group of 2-4 people for a cafe-style discussion around a theme or topic.|
|VIRTUAL CONFERENCES||On-site conferences that are streaming all/some sessions or 100% virtual conferences. This includes UnConferences, too!|
|EDUTAINMENT||Host a virtual party or online play games with colleagues - or anything you think falls under ‘edu-tainment’.|
