You can manage your item banks within any assessment in Gauge. Item banks can be viewed, edited, and used only by the user who created them. You can also add new items to item banks from the Manage Item Banks page.
You can also view your item banks by creating a new assessment or editing an existing assessment. However, you cannot add new items to a bank if you access item banks from within an assessment.
You can access your item banks by opening an assessment or creating a new assessment.
To open an assessment, click the title of the assessment .
To create a new assessment, click the Add Assessment button .
View Item Banks
From the Item Banks page, you can view all item banks you have created . Each item bank will include the date it was last updated  and the number of questions and stimuli it contains .
To create a new item bank, click the Add Bank button .
View the items in the item bank .
To search for an item, enter the search criteria in the Search field . Search results will display items with matching results in question titles, question stems, and answer choices.
To filter search results, click the Add Filters button .

Search results can be filtered by tags or item type.
To filter results by tags, click the Tags and Metadata field and select a tag . Selected tags will display in the Tags and Metadata field . Tags can be created when editing an item bank item.
To filter results by item type, click the item type options you want to view .
Add New Item
To add a new item to an item bank, click the Add New button . Then select the item type you want to add .
To edit an item bank question, click the Edit icon . To move or copy a question to another item bank, click the Copy icon . To delete a question, click the Delete icon .
To return to your item bank, click the Item Banks link .

To edit an item bank, click the Menu icon  and select the Edit option .

To delete an item bank, click the Menu icon  and select the Delete option .
View the warning message for deleting item banks .
To delete the item bank, click the Delete button . To keep the item bank, click the Cancel button .
- Questions added to an assessment individually will not be removed from the assessment when the item bank is deleted. Question groups that use a random number of item bank items will not be available after the item bank is deleted.
- Once an item bank is deleted, it will also lose its statistical link to reports.
