Sortable Names

The Settings page supports listing users by sortable name throughout Gauge using the Sort Users by drop-down menu. This change allows admins to list users by full name or sortable name. Previously, users could only be listed by full name.

Sortable names will display the same format that is set in Canvas. If an account uses a Sortable Name format other than Last Name, First Name, users will be sorted by Last Name, First Name by default until Gauge has been relaunched from Canvas.

Student Dashboard Redesign

The Student Dashboard has been redesigned for improved usability and organization. The Dashboard displays a student’s name, allowing them to confirm they have accessed Gauge in the correct account. The Dashboard also supports a drop-down menu to toggle between current and submitted assessments.

As part of the dashboard redesign, the Assessments list displays a status label for each assessment. These labels allows students to quickly view the status of their assessments. Assessments that are ready to take but haven’t been started are identified by the Ready label.

Assessments that have already been started but weren’t submitted are identified by the Started label. Submitted assessments that have been graded are identified by the Graded label. Submitted assessments without a grade are identified by the Submitted label.
