On April 16, 2015, Canvas Network adopted Canvas Commons as an additional resource for Canvas Network instructors to connect them with the wider general Canvas user community.

Canvas Network offers open, online courses taught by educational institutions and organizations throughout the world. It provides a place and platform where teachers and students can connect and chart their own course for personal growth, professional development, and academic inquiry. Open education is our priority. By adding Canvas Commons to Canvas Network we have taken yet another step to support the open educational resource (OER) movement.

Canvas Commons is a digital library full of educational content that allows Canvas users to share learning resources with other Canvas users. Canvas Commons is currently available as a pilot feature for select Canvas institutions.

On April 22, 2015 we hosted a webinar that to explore the happy union between Canvas Network and Commons. In the webinar, we outlined how Canvas Network instructors can contribute to and benefit from Canvas Commons.
