Rationale

As a student, I want to be able to consume course content offline so that I can still perform school related learning when I do not have a reliable internet connection.

This is a priority for many international institutions and will also create an easy way for students to download all course content for consumption on a variety of devices.

User goals

Student goal:

Complete required reading and study course content offline. This includes offline access to Pages, Assignments, Files, Syllabus, and Announcements

Current plan is to leverage the open ePub file format to maximize the types of devices that can be used to consume this content. Students would have access to the same content they would normally be able to access via the course online (module progression rules remain in tact and student would need to download again after they have access to new content).
