You can send attachments in conversations messages using the Canvas app.
The images in this lesson are shown for a phone display, but unless otherwise noted, tablet displays mirror the same steps.
Select Attachment Type
To attach an existing photo on your iOS device, tap the Choose from Library... button . Otherwise you can tap the Take Photo or Video button  or Record Audio button .

To select an existing photo, locate and select a photo from a photo gallery on your device.
To take a new photo, make sure the media option is set to photo . Tap the Camera icon .
To take a new video, swipe your screen to set the media icon to video . To record a new video, tap the Recording button .
Note: Canvas may ask permission to access your microphone.
To record audio, tap the Record button.
The paper clip icon displays a number indicator showing the number of attachments in your message.
View Existing Attachments
If you want to view or edit your existing attachments, tap the attachment number , then tap the Existing Attachments... link .
Open Existing Attachments
You can share your files with other apps, and you can play back audio and media files to confirm them before sending.
To view your existing attachments, tap the name of the attachment.
Edit Existing Attachments
If you want to remove any of the existing attachments, tap the Edit button.
To add a message recipient, tap the Add icon . In the compose field , type your message. When you are ready to send your message, tap the Send link .
Note: New messages will not appear in the Inbox on the Canvas app until there is a reply to the message, but you can view the message in your Sent folder. However, if you have an existing Inbox message with a recipient, the message will appear as part of the Inbox message thread.
