Starts at 9:00 AM · Ends at 9:45 AM, MST (America/Denver)
NOTE: This is a repeat of a previous session from earlier in the year.
This session is part of the Canvas Partner Days, a recurring event (every other month) to highlight our awesome Canvas Partners (plus cool contests and swag giveaways)!
Thoughtful course design impacts every single student. As educators, we know that it's not solely about curriculum delivery. It’s also how and when you deliver course materials to increase student engagement, improve accessibility, and (a teacher's ultimate dream) realize your students' learning achievements!
As part of Canvas rollout efforts across the country, our Education Services team has seen innovative ways schools and universities have leveraged their curriculum and adapted it to Canvas. With Commons, Instructure’s open course repository, they’ve also watched ways courses have been repurposed and reimagined from existing Canvas resources.
Now, the Education Services team wants to share their experiences with you! In this webinar, attendees will learn:
- Common challenges every teacher and/or instructional designer faces when building Canvas courses and ways to overcome them
- Tips on starting your Canvas design experience on the right foot ‘click’
- Additional information about the services intended to implement, transform, and elevate your school’s learning goals and curriculum initiatives

Adoption Consultant at InstructureAs a child, Deonne could often be found in the basement with the chalkboard set up in front of her stuffed animals and dolls, playing "school." That love of teaching has permeated her life as she has over 25 years teaching experience in a variety of settings: K-12, private vocational college, community college and university. She was fascinated with computers when she took her first technology class in high school and has been fortunate to teach technology courses for the majority of her teaching career. She loves working with such an incredible team at Instructure and looks forward to sharing her knowledge with you!

- Lily Philips
Instructional Designer at InstructureI am an Instructional Designer under the Education Services Department here at Instructure. I am passionate about all things instructional design... and especially love working on the graphic design elements of a template! It is not uncommon to find me huddled at my desk "obsessing" over a particular color choice or page design for a course template. It's all about the details! =) Education Services SHARE ~ APPLY ~ ELEVATE: CREATING A CYCLE OF SUCCESS
