A Student's Perspective on Education Empowerment
Connecting with your online students may feel challenging, but it doesn’t have to be. In my presentation, I will share my journey in online courses as a student, share what I have discovered about the online classroom while working at College of the Canyons, and help you discover ways that will make online students want to work harder.
Attend this event in one of three ways:
- Online from anywhere (Webinar Registration - Zoom )
- From a regional hub (How to Attend)
- From an on-campus viewing room
- Natalie Miller
StudentNatalie is a former student at College of the Canyons and a current student at California Polytechnic State University (Cal Poly). As a student at College of the Canyons, Natalie created and led a promotional campaign for the college’s Open Educational Resources initiative to raise awareness among students and faculty about the impact of open education on student learning and success. In 2018, Natalie was awarded the Open Education Consortium’s Student Award for Open Education Excellence at the OEC annual conference in the Netherlands.
