Automated Texts & Emails to Parents for Missed Submissions

    We use ICU (Power of ICU ICU Database ) to send automated texts & emails to parents to notify parents when students have missed submission deadlines for assignments without parents having to opt-in, create an account, or log in to a program. They also receive automated texts and emails when the missing/late assignments are submitted. The problem is that the student data (cells, email addresses, additions, deletions) must be entered and managed outside of our SIS and Canvas. The missing assignments have to be entered by teachers as well as updated when missing assignments are submitted. I would like to see Canvas partner with ICU or provide a similar automated service for missed submissions without parents having to have Canvas observer accounts. Keep in mind that ICU is about missing assignments not grades.
