I should be able to check a box on an email to add the email to the appropriate faculty journal for a student. I thought this option used to be here but it is no longer here.
Hi Shane P. Lauber
If you are not seeing this, please submit a support ticket.
If this is not what you were asking about, then call me an "idiot", and try your best to dumb-it-down until I do get it:-)
what about moving emails that you already sent....Is this possible? Would
be a nice feature to have a checkbox or option similar to the archive

Kelley L. Meeusen -- I just checked messages in our Canvas instance, and I don't see that second box -- don't believe I ever have. Maybe that's not something that every institution enables?
Just checked Feature Options in our account, and it is not part of that nor listed there. Also checked Permissions, and do not see that as a permission to set.
I have no recollection of asking our CSM to enable it, but that could be what happened. I mean, I ask our CSM to enable almost everything and I am of an age where my memory for details is not optimal!
So I don't know.
ADDENDUM: I investigated further, because something occurred to me - I have about 14 merged accounts that all display classes within my account at the school where I am the admin. When I took that screenshot, I was trying to send a message to a course I teach at another school. So.............................
This tells me there is a very good chance that this is a feature you have to request your CSM to have turned on for you.
And Shane P. Lauber
I tried this out further in the accounts with this feature, and I could not find a way to add an old Inbox message to the Journal.
That is what I am asking....I am sorry for the confusion...I know you can
add to journal when sending an email but if you fail to do so and decide
later to do it, it would be nice to have the option in the email module to
check the boxes next to email and like archive have the add to faculty
