Ask: Enable SIS ID and email search functionality in the new people search field.
First off the new course and user search functionality is fantastic as it provides a lot more intuitive information. However, our institution has run into issues when searching for people. Often times we search for users by their SIS ID in our system. This works fantastic if the admin searches and has access at the root account level for our institution.
However, we have many sub-accounts and unfortunately when you search for people by their SIS ID when you are in a sub-account it does not return any values. Even further we have a large population of admins with sub-account admin access only and can't search directly to a user using the SIS ID.
