Today I was asked about the possibility of a playlist containing Arc videos and so I thought best to share the idea here in this forum.
This is a great idea. I would use it to share a list of videos that could benefit students across campus, like a series on study skills.
This would be great to use it instead of folder systems. We have hundreds of videos in our program and need to be able to organise them easily. Tagging videos are not working for us.
I'm on board! It isn't as vital as other features like the ability to download videos on the student side, but I still like it!
Yes, we would find this very valuable! We have some instructional areas that produce videos that become quite lengthy due to the amount of content they must include, and we've been trying to provide them with ways to chunk them out but allow students to navigate through all the content if they wish. Playlists would really help with this!
Connecting the playlist to the length of the videos is another excellent argument in support of this idea. I am conducting my first training in Arc next month and I will include advice to instructors regarding the importance of using short videos. Giving them the ability to chunk that 50-minute lecture into a handful of 10-minute videos will be better digested if they can share a single link to the playlist instead of having to find places for a handful of links or embeds.
Seems pretty essential to me. We're considering Arc and video organization is one reason we have for it. In fact, I'm shocked that it's not a part of this.
Video playlists are common place now, I think this is a good idea as more videos are uploaded, managing collections can be time consuming.
