Our county wants staff to use Canvas for posting meeting notes, shared documents, etc in Canvas. Only assignments, quizzes and discussion boards currently receive notifications. This means when I link in a module to a Google Doc as an External Tool, my groups is not aware of the new posting. I have started making these "Assignments" without a due date, but I think this is insulting to staff. Why isn't everything that is posted allowed a notification? I need a notification for external tools. I can send an email with the Google Doc link after I post the link in Canvas, but this seems like double the amount of work, and Canvas should take care of this task for me.
