I would like to have the option to make sure that a peer review can automatically be assigned to two (or more) different groups so a teacher really can make sure that one student needs to review different assignments.
I want to make sure I'm understanding this correctly. When you assign peer reviews you want to ensure that a student reviews an assignment outside of their own group? Is that correct?
I not only mean outside of their own group but also that if they have to review two assignments it is from two different groups. For example if a student is part of group 1, he/she needs to do a review of the assignement of a student from group 2 and 3 (and not twice group 2 or 3).
Ute, my institution has this same need to avoid accidentally assigning two different submissions from the same group when automatically assigning peer reviews. Even though peer review is, at this time, a task performed by individual students, it would also be nice to identify the group (at least to the teaching team) when a group submission is assigned for peer review.
Renee, in my judgment this builds on Peer Reviews for Groups outside their Group (a), which was developed and is hugely appreciated. However, what was built for that idea didn't cover assigning more than one (distinct) group submission to each reviewer. If this idea is opened for voting, you can be sure I'll upvote and promote it!
The current workaround is to manually assign peer reviews, carefully looking at group membership -- which is tedious.
Thanks, Rob! I always appreciate your feature idea ninja skills! I am going to archive this thread as a duplicate.
Ute, please add your comments and vote to the idea Rob connected you to!
