Uploading Duplicate File to Files area: Replace issue

    I had an issue with the file upload process when I upload a file to the Files area. If I uploaded a new version of a file it would not always ask if I wanted to replace the file it would just create another copy of it. I was told by canvas support to clear the cache in my browser and that seemed to work.  The problem is I don't want to clear the cache, I use the cache to save time in searching for previous sites, login credential etc,  It seems to me that canvas can fix this without falling back on clear cache.
