I would like directories in the quiz bank. I have 400 questions in my quiz question bank, and managing them without directories is difficult.
I'm not quite sure what you mean by 'directories'. What is it that you are trying to solve for?
In your other idea I shared that we are no longer developing on the original quizzing tool and that Quizzes.Next will eventually replace it. Would you take a look at how question banks are organized and searchable there and see if that accomplishes what you are seeking?
Hi Joseph Donelan
You cannot create "Directories" in the Canvas Question Banks, but you can create multiple question banks in which you can organize question items.

I hope this is helpful,
I think I may understand what Joseph is asking for here. I have noticed that in item banks ALL items banks I import or create will be listed each time I go to view item banks to add questions to a quiz regardless of the course I am currently working in. If I have 20 or more item banks I will have click next page until I find the item bank I want. This is going to be shift in work flows for instructors and will be time-consuming if they have a lot of item banks. In current quiz tool you can only see question banks that are associated with the course you are currently viewing.
I think Joseph is asking for directories (folders) so he can organize his item banks. I think that would be good option to have but I would be OK with filtering and search options and the ability to tag content.
Great explanation, Susan Nugent's Blog, it would follow the system set up in Canvas Commons.
Susan, the tagging and filtering feature is now available in Quizzes.Next! For reference, the relevant lessons are How do I edit an item bank item in Quizzes.Next? and How do I manage item banks in Quizzes.Next?
Unfortunately, the new tagging and search features are within each item bank. If I understood Joseph's request correctly, the tag and search features would be helpful within the item bank but not in the item bank list.
