    Here you have a couple of css files that solves the problem with equal prefixes for different indent levels in Canvas (numbers), both for the web browser version and the app. For the web browser version I have filtered on the class ic-app-main-content, but that is maybe not neccessary :

    CSS for normal web browser:

    /* Ordered Lists in pages and announcements
    - indent level 2 gets prefix a,b,c , level 3 gets i,ii,iii and 4 gets 01,02,03
    - The result is not visible in mce editor, but after you save page or announcement

     */
    .ic-app-main-content ol ol {
      list-style-type: lower-alpha;
    }
    .ic-app-main-content ol ol ol {
      list-style-type: lower-roman;
    }
    .ic-app-main-content ol ol ol ol {
      list-style-type: decimal-leading-zero;
    }

    I have filtered on the class .ic-app-main-content

    but that is maybe not neccessary. The css will then be equal to:

    CSS for the app:

    /* Ordered Lists in pages and announcements for the Canvas APP
    - indent level 2 gets prefix a,b,c , level 3 gets i,ii,iii and 4 gets 01,02,03
    - The result is not visible in editor, but after you save page or announcement
    - USN - 16.01.2019 - Sven K. Haaø
    - sven.k.haao@usn.no
     */

    ol ol {
      list-style-type: lower-alpha;
    }
    ol ol ol {
      list-style-type: lower-roman;
    }
    ol ol ol ol {
      list-style-type: decimal-leading-zero;
    }

    Preview of the fix for web browser and app
