(based on a request from a member of teaching staff)
Draft comments in SpeedGrader are always catching our teachers out. They mark a large volume of muted assignments in a short period of time, and inevitably the odd click goes awry and they don't notice the warning message in green appear that says "Your comment was auto-saved as a draft."
I can understand the value in auto-saving comments, and that some may even rely on the draft state for their working practices, but it would be super useful if the unmute process could detect draft comments and warn the user ("there are draft comments in this assignment - are you sure you want to unmute?")... maybe even offer a "submit all draft comments and unmute" option - that'd be really good
