When submitting a Homework assignment. The Homework assignment shall no longer appear in either the global or local To Do list for the class.
John, what does "HW end" mean in this idea?
I also made a separate post about how announcements in the To-Do section should be handled. This idea then only addresses Homework in the To-Do section. So HW just means Homework. (HW end) is referring to the limitation of my idea's criteria.
Thanks, John, this helps me better understand the idea you've submitted. I have further questions, if you'll indulge them!
Are you seeking removal from the To Do List for every assignment in Canvas, or just for those designated (e.g., by name) as "Homework"?
Or, perhaps, are you envisioning a way to exclude a specific assignment from To Do List, similar to the way this assignment details checkbox option works?
So right now the To-Do section is not very understandable in how it functions with a full class load because so much pops up there it is hard to filter stuff out unless I already know what should or should not be there. If I already know then there is no need for that tab altogether.
So submitted homework being shown in the tab is what I consider good. If I were to do a homework and forget to submit it, this tab would be useful.
I seek that homework that has been submitted in Canvas be removed from the To-Do tab automatically without having to hit the X button.
In a way the exclusion you mentioned already exists because of the X button.
As a last point, this topic is only for the global To-Do list. So it should be containing all the homework assignments from courses. By adding all these other items in there it fills up quickly and just as quickly becomes useless for the user because hitting load more takes away from the fact that one should be able to glance at the tab.
So submitted homework to canvas should be removed from the To-Do list in an automated fashion.
Perhaps looking at the other complementary ideas would help this one make more sense in a grand scheme of things.
