I have started building longer assessments in quizzes.next, and often one stimulus can be related to 10 or 12 questions. Because of this, it seems like Canvas designed the scrolling through the questions feature.. so that the stimulus is always visible. This seems great, however students are missing questions this way (see screenshot below), because they are not visible. I know the numbers clearly indicate that there are more questions, however we're still finding students submitting the exam and then learning that they missed half of the questions. Is there a way to improve this UI somehow? (Maybe the stimulus as you scroll?) Or more aggressively indicate that they didn't answer some of the questions before submission?
The image below shows the right side of the screen and how it might be easy to miss questions 19-25 (related to the previous stimulus) and move onto 26, related to the next stimulus.
