[Global Navigation] Filter in All-Courses for Users

As faculty teach more courses over the years, their All-Courses tab in Global Navigation gets filled with courses from previous semesters. As an admin, I find this very difficult to navigate, especially since the courses are sorted by Coursename by default. Very rarely do we search for a course by the long_name.

I would suggest adding a search function to the All Courses menu with one similar to the one that is in the Admin area for viewing the entire course list for an account. This would help faculty look for the specific course they are searching for instead of having to use the Ctrl+F browser feature.

Hi,  @erik_gustafson . Thanks for taking the time to help make Canvas better! There are some related ideas out there which may be of interest:

I would like to be able to have the same search functionality I do as an instructor that the admin does. As an admin I can search by term as well as the name of the course. I need that as an instructor!
