Notifications preferences for group set

I created a group assignment for a module that begins next week. The group assignment is not yet published, but I inputted details for each group set. Unbeknownst to me, my students received a notification about their "New Group Membership", and began to email me several questions and were all highly concerned. Meanwhile, the actual assignment isn't even published, the module hasn't even begun, and they really should be focusing on this week's module.

My idea is to have notifications options for the instructor. In an ideal world I should be able to turn these notifications on or off -- or even schedule when they should go out.

As part of the new Ideas & Themes process, all ideas in Idea Conversations were reviewed by the Product Team. Any Idea that was associated with an identified theme was moved to the new Idea & Themes space. Any Idea that was not part of the move is being marked as Archived. This will preserve the history of the conversations while also letting Community members know that Instructure will not explore the request at this time.
