We really need to have a scroll bar in the permissions screen, otherwise it's really complicated to keep lowering the zoom level.
I wanted to double check, so I just went to the permissions pages of one of my instances. I see a scrollbar on the right hand side of my browser and am able to navigate the page with it. Are you not seeing the same thing?
Franco, would you please refine this idea? I currently have a scroll bar on the Permissions screen. I think what you're hoping for is to have the header on the Permissions table that persists (or remains fixed) while using a scroll bar to scroll through the various permissions in a frame. Is that an accurate assessment?
Actually, there are two things: first, the persistent header, as you mentioned.
But, on the other hand, once yo create several roles, you have no scroll bar to move both to the sides, so you need to lower the browser zoom to be able to see al existing roles.
Franco, is this request specific to the process of creating custom roles, or to the standard Permissions screen, or both (if both, it would require two separate ideas)? When I navigate the standard Permissions screen, I can see all of the standard permissions on one screen, and when I narrow my browser, I get a horizontal scrollbar.
Would you provide a screencast? A visualization would help Community members to assess the idea, and would also determine whether it needs to be separated into discrete submissions.
Franco Lala, there is a similar idea already on the product radar that may cover what you are asking for. Permissions Page improvements
Feel free to vote and post any comments.
Franco, it's been a while since we requested additional information. Would you please add a description of your use case (and ideally, a screencast) to the link Joni Miller kindly provided? We'll archive this idea to keep feedback consolidated in the existing idea that's already in Product Radar status.
