How do I get my class view-able through the commons area?
Are you downloading it into one of your Canvas course shells? That is the only way you will be able to view it as a course.
Learn how at How do I import and view a Commons resource in Canvas?
If you are following this process, but it is not loading into your Canvas shell as a course, the I would preview the resource in Commons to verify that the upload happened as expected. If not, then try re-uploading into Commons then downloading again into your Canvas shells.
Hi Doris Ware
What do you mean by "viewable"?
If you mean that you can no longer "find" that content in Commons, then this guide should be helpful How do I use Commons?
If you mean that you would like to preview that content in Commons, then this guide should be helpful How do I preview resources in Commons? m, and at How do I view my imported and shared resources in Commons?
If you are asking how someone else (Like a student) can view the content in Commons, then the answer is that they cannot except under the same limitations you have as a contributor. Commons is a repository for content to be shared, but is not a place used to house courses to provide access to course users. That is what Canvas is for. Students cannot access Commons at all.
Also keep in mind that when you upload content to Commons, you have several "share" options, one of which is to only share with yourself. If you have uploaded your content with that setting, then other Commons users will not be able to locate that content. What types of sharing options are available in Commons?
If I have somehow misunderstood what you are asking about, please let me know.
When I download a course, it tries to open as a PDF. How do I get the download to open so that I can view it?
