Can individual modules have their own grade book in the same course shell? gradebook
It sounds like "sections" may be what you want to use. In Canvas, a "course" is where the content/assessments/etc. live, and a "section" is where the enrollments are. You can have multiple sections in one course, and set assignments so that they are only required/visible to one section.
Depending on how enrollments are managed at your school, you may be able to create your own sections within a course ( How do I add a section to a course as an instructor? ), or you may be able to crosslist the sections from multiple courses into one course shell ( How do I cross-list a section in a course as an instructor? )
Can you clarify what you mean by "individual modules"? Within the context of Canvas, a "module" is a way to organize course content.
A Canvas course only can only have one gradebook. If your course includes multiple enrollment "sections" (How do I add a section to a course as an instructor? ), you can filter the gradebook to only view students from a particular secton:How do I use the Gradebook?
Thanks for your quick reply. I would like to use Canvas to manage 3 separate courses in 1 shell to better facilitate the flow of content. Module A with 3 groups of assignments. Mod B and Mod C each with 3 groups of assignments. I would like grading to be separate and not cumulative for all modules.
