I want students to submit a Google slide as an external tool, but I also want other students to comment on them. What do I do to make that happen? Right now I can't see how other students can see submissions.
With Assignment submissions there really isn't a good way for other students to see them. It's really meant more for a direct submission to the instructor. Have you thought about using a Discussion instead? By nature discussions are meant for everyone in the class to see and even respond to, and they can be graded. I suggest creating a graded discussion and asking students to post the url to their Google Presentation in it. Or, the presentation can be embedded. Here is a helpful link for your students to show them how How do I create a hyperlink or embed a file from Google Drive into the Rich Content Editor as a student?
Hello there, Donald McRoy...
I am reviewing older questions here in the Canvas Community, and I stumbled upon your question. I wanted to check in with you because I noticed that we have not heard back from you since you first posted your question on March 17, 2019. It looks like you received some feedback with a link to a Canvas Guide from Rick Murch-Shafer a couple days after you posted your question. Have you had an opportunity to review Rick's feedback? If so, did it help to answer your question? If you feel that Rick's response did help to answer your question, please come back to this thread and click on the "Mark Correct" button next to his reply. However, if you are still looking for some help from Community members, please let us know that as well by posting a note below letting us know how we might be able to assist you. For the time being, I am going to mark your question as "Assumed Answered" because we have not heard back from you in over six months and because there hasn't been any new activity in this topic for about that same amount of time. However, that won't keep you or others from posting additional questions and/or comments below that are related to this topic. I hope that's okay with you, Donald. Looking forward to hearing back from you soon.
