When trying to download student's submissions, I'm getting a message, as follows:
JWT rejected: user authentication failed
How can I access student submissions?
Hi Vivian Austin Welcome to the Canvas Community and sorry to hear that you are having this issue. If it's any consolation, I saw this myself at my own institution this morning, though (oddly...) the second time I tried downloading the file from within SpeedGrader it worked. The status page that Instructure has for Canvas (scroll down to March 18) reported issues with uploading/downloading over the weekend, but apparently something is happening again. As Steve Watts reports in his reply in that last thread, the JWT error seems to suddenly be popping up. If you have no luck at retrieving it, I would suggest reporting it to Instructure via HELP>>Report a Problem, which may first get routed through your local IT folks to then pass along. I would also suggest trying a different browser (which never hurts!) just in case.
Not a solution, I'm afraid, but it appears you're not alone.
I had the exact same message this morning. I logged out of Canvas, cleared my browser (Chrome) history, logged back in, and it started working fine.
