Is there a way to save a draft of a discussion post? Or if you start it and don't post it, do you just completely lose it? Thank you!
Hi Hannah Fortner , and Welcome to the Canvas Community!
Currently, there is no way to save a draft Discussion post in Canvas. However, there is a related feature idea currently open for voting that you might be interested in supporting atAuto Save in Rich Content Editor
What we suggest to folks who may not be able to complete a discussion reply in one setting is to draft the reply in a word-processor, then copy/paste in the Discussion when complete. Also, if the teacher has enabled the Discussion edit/delete permission for students, they can submit it, then go back and complete it later.
Welcome, Hannah. Are you a student or an instructor? If you are a student, I do not think there is a way to save a draft in a Discussion post. If you are thinking you need to write your response and then edit it, I'd suggest doing it in a Word-type format and then, when it is as you want it to be, to copy and paste it into the discussion.
