I have a poorly worded question that I would like to give all students a credit for.
Hi Matt Klay Welcome to the Canvas Community. There are a few ways to handle this. It also depends on whether you are using the legacy/current version of Quizzes or Quizzes.Next. If the former, you created the quiz by heading to the Quizzes menu item. If the latter, you created the assessment from the Assignments page. (Also, look at the screen captures on the pages that are linked below if you're not sure.)
On the legacy/current version, Canvas will regrade everyone automatically for you if you change a question, but you can only do this on multiple choice, T/F, or multiple answer questions. Here are the appropriate pages:
On Quizzes.Next, it can be handled automatically by checking here: How do I regrade an assessment question in New Quizzes?
If none of these apply in that Canvas cannot handle it automatically, then the next best thing is to simply give each student fudge points. This is covered here: How do I adjust the point value for an entire quiz using fudge points in SpeedGrader?
I hope this helps a bit, Matt!
