How do I remove the "? need help" tab in speed grader? It is covering up important screen space. A more critical issue when I am running window minimised.
Are you talking about the New User Tutorial, which is also known as the Course Setup Tutorial? It is a feature that is forced on if you are using Canvas Free for Teachers and one that your Canvas administrator can enable otherwise.
Here are a couple of links to help decide if this is what you're talking about, its purpose, and how to deal with it.
I will say that Canvas is not designed to work when minimized and some things, especially SpeedGrader, need all the space you can give it.
If the course setup tutorial isn't what you're talking about, then I'm not sure what you mean by "? need help" tab. The Course Setup Tutorial a flyout tray, so it looks like a sidebar, and it it covers a lot of the screen, so I think this is what you're talking about. Maybe adding a screenshot of what it looks like on the page would help if this isn't it?
Hi James. Please see the picture in comments below. It would be helpful to allow users to remove this floating tab. I can't read my comments as I write because of it. Thank you for your previous comments. Hopefully the update makes more sense. Marcel
Marcel, the Need Help tab that displays in your screenshot is not native to Canvas; it is a separate application that was added to Canvas by your organization. Please contact the local Canvas admin for RMIT to provide your feedback.
Ahh, that sheds some light on this. Thank you Stefanie. I will follow up locally.
You're welcome, Marcel!
Same problem for me.
Yes, this is the issue. I am surprised it still persist. Very annoying having that "? Need Help" floating tab. It gets in the way when I type. Hopefully Canvas can figure out how to disable it. Thank you for sharing the image.
