When I go to the gradebook to view all students' grades, the columns do not align (see attachment). Is anyone else having this issue?
Chrome and Firefox. Have not tried other browsers because I don't use any others.
I have had this issue, but only in Firefox. I suspect Canvas support would tell you to try another browser, clear cache, or make sure you're up-to-date. I hate those answers, but they often do work.
Unfortunately, I have done all of those things to no avail.
Were you able to find an answer to your question? I am going to go ahead and mark this question as answered because there hasn't been any more activity in a while so I assume that you have the information that you need. If you still have a question about this or if you have information that you would like to share with the community, by all means, please do come back and leave a comment. Also, if this question has been answered by one of the previous replies, please feel free to mark that answer as correct.
The column alignment is still an issue. I have not heard anything from Instructure.

Same here - we have random users experiencing this issue at random times, with random browsers. It's not consistent at all.
I have the issue using Firefox, even after clearing the cache and refreshing. The column headers initially line up with the columns, but when I move the horizontal scroll bar to the right, the bottom columns move, but the headers don't.
Hello Robert Haines...
I am reviewing some of the older questions here in the Canvas Community, and I came across your question. I thought that I would check in with you because I noticed there hasn't been much activity in this the end of April (with the exception of Mark Larsen's response a couple weeks ago). Are the issues with columns in your Gradebook still an issue? I wasn't able to determine if you were using the Legacy Gradebook or the New Gradebook. However, if you are using the Legacy Gradebook, do you have the ability to try out the New Gradebook to see if the columns are any better? If you could please come back to this topic to post a note below with a status update, that would be helpful. For the time being, I am going to mark your question as "Assumed Answered"...hoping that you've been able to come up with a solution by now. But, that won't prevent you or others form posting additional questions and/or comments continuing on the conversation. I hope that's okay with you, Robert. Looking forward to hearing back from you soon.
EDIT: And now I just re-read the subject line of your posting, and you are using the New Gradebook. That being said, it would still be great to hear from you to see if anything has changed.
I do not see any issues in my current course, but I have not had an opportunity to look in other courses yet.
I still have the issue.

You may need to report this to the Canvas Help Desk folks. How do I get help with Canvas as an instructor?
Also, I need to ask that you please remove your screenshot document from your posting. It contains student names and grades...and that is information that shouldn't be seen by the public (FERPA stuff). If you can please unattach your file from your posting, that would be great...thank you.
Chris, we've removed the attachment displaying student names and grades on Mark's behalf.
Hello Robbie Grant Admin ,
I am using the New Gradebook and have discovered this issue in Chrome (remains after clearing the cache and refreshing). The column headers initially line up with the columns, but as I progress to view columns at the right, the headers are not lining up with their respective columns.
We are seeing this as well. I've noticed it happens when you scroll inside of the gradebook itself. If you scroll inside the column headings, it stays aligned. So maybe it's a <frame> issue?
Submitting to Canvas Support to get some more feedback.
Here's the message from Canvas Support:
This is something that we've been made aware of recently. What's happening is that when a user scrolls too fast in the Gradebook the columns load slower and become misaligned after loading. This is due to limitations in the library that we're using for the New Gradebook.
Fixing this is actually pretty simple. The user will just need to scroll slower within their Gradebook and the columns should align correctly. You don't even have to refresh the page in this case, you should just be able to scroll back to the left of the Gradebook, then scroll back to the right of the Gradebook but just in a slower pace.
So, it's something they know about and have a recommendation for!
