I was trying to update my profile pic with a different profile pic. I went into files to upload a picture under Account>Filesand I get this message "Error: file size exceeds quota". I also noticed on the left that I have used 285% of 52.4MB.
Thanks. Veronica on Chat was able to assist me.

Hi Eric Basham Welcome to the Canvas Community. Thanks for posting your question. It definitely looks like you are going to need to clear out some of the files you have saved in your personal "Files" area of Canvas. (The "Submissions" folder, by the way, is where a copy of all file submissions for any of the assignments you've submitted to instructors would be stored...and those files cannot be deleted. Also, files in this folder do not count against your quota.) On the left side of your personal "Files" screen, look for the "My Files" folder. Then, dive into each of the folders within that folder. Do you see any large files in any of those folders that could be deleted? You might need to do a bit of housekeeping in these folders so that you are under your allowed quota. How do I delete a file or folder as an instructor? (Please note: Although this Guide is describing how to delete files in a course, the process is pretty much the same for deleting files from your personal "Files" area.)
Once you have cleaned out some of your files, then you should be able to edit/change your profile picture in Canvas.
How do I add a profile picture in my user account as an instructor?
I hope this information will be of help to you, Eric. Please sing out if you have any questions...thanks!
