I teach 2 sections of the same course and when I update say a rubric, or assignment, or content page in one class, is there a way to send that revised version to the other course?
Hi Monique Comacchio and Welcome to the Canvas Community!
The best guide in the Community that would walk you through this process is: How do I copy content from another Canvas course? After looking at the guide, please let the Canvas Community know if you have any questions. Everyone is here to help!
I also added some tags to your question. That way, if others search for similar terms, they can find this thread! I hope that's okay with you.
Hello Monique Comacchio...
You might want to consider using Canvas Commons to "update once, distribute to many". Doing this, you could essentially share your first course to Canvas Commons (even privately so that only you would see it), then in your second, third, fourth, etc. course(s), you would import the contents of the course from Canvas Commons. If you ever needed to make a change to all courses, you update the content in the first course, and then you would essentially "push" the changes out to all the other courses.
You can read through the Guides: Commons part of the Community, but the following Guides are ones that I would focus on:
How do I share a course to Commons?
How do I share a resource to Commons? (if you're only sharing parts of a course)
How do I update a resource I previously shared to Commons?
How do I view updates to resources I previously imported from Commons?
I hope this is helpful to you, Monique.
