Question: If you are using SSO through a portal, what do you do when the portal cannot be accessed?
Our portal is down this morning, which means our users currently cannot access Canvas. I have noted that students (or faculty) using the mobile app still have access through the app, as long as they logged in prior to the portal going down. Every time this happens, people start asking why we don't have a back-up plan in place for Canvas access. I have pointed out that password management in Canvas itself would be a nightmare for us. Has anyone found a way to deal with this, or do you just have portals with awesome uptime?
