How do I move the banner from one course to another?
Hi Barbara Spies
Could you please explain what you mean by "Banner"? Do you mean a Banner at the top of a custom home page, or something else?
I create a custom banner for my home pages, and these can be easily copied from one course to another by at least two methods, likely more..............
I hope this helps, and if this isn't what you are asking about, let us know and we will try to find an answer.
?Thank you. I think this is what I was looking for!
??I am wanting to move my "Banner" on my home page so I don't have to reinvent it. However with all the time and energy I have spent and yours as well....I could have. Thank you. Someone gave me the procedure. Thanks.
Hi again, Barbara Spies
I use a separate Home (Front Page) page for each of my modules that includes an announcement box, intro, buttons to useful stuff. And I copy the HTML Code for that basic format from my term-opening front page into all my module-specific front pages, then just update text and dates. This is a do-it-once/use-it-forever thing where all I have to do each term is just designate the appropriate page as the ne front page and then update any term-specific info.
Now that you have figured this out, you are going to love it, and so will your students. Even the most creative front page starts being ignored after a few days, because it is so static. Switching them out for each study unit provides a much more dynamic entry page that helps keep students better engaged.
Enjoy your experiment!
?Thanks everyone. I got so many good responses. I really didn't realize this community was "out there"!
