Comrades—
I'm running into issues with the text field for answers in matching quiz questions not being long enough to support the definitions of quiz terms. I see from this question 80 characters or less in answer box...WHY??? that there's an 80 character limit (that was lifted?). Is there a status report on this issue? Maybe the limit was turned back on?
Someone please save me.
Brad, sorry your question has been sitting here so long. I did some digging and found the following feature idea (now in Cold Storage - Recent Canvas Changes - 80 Character Limits Now?. There is some really good discussion in this post about the issue and as I read through it (it was quite lengthy) it seems that the issue was fixed/addressed.
If you go here - https://community.canvaslms.com/docs/DOC-4521#jive_content_id__Fixed_Bugs - and scroll down to "Character Limit for Matching, Multiple Drop-down, and Multiple Choice Questions" it states that - "...for multiple choice questions, instructors can add more than 80 characters using the The Rich Content Editor, which maintains a character limit of 16384 characters."
