Choosing a WordPress Knowledgebase for Student led Digital Learning Support

Blog Post created by Gideon Williams on Mar 5, 2018

We have a number of student helpers who support out digital learning ambitions by helping out at our BSN Genius Bar. The Genius Bar is run by student for other students.

If a student has a problem with their device or need help with Canvas and related software then they go to the Genius Bar. The Genius Bar runs before school, at break and lunch and after school.

Currently we have Help Guides for our 1-1 Surface Pro as a Canvas course but we are keen to move this to a more effective online location as it does not sit quite clearly with the rest of our curriculum courses:

Our Genius Bar helper have suggested creating a WordPress Knowledgebase. This would be run and managed by them. We would also put on this our BadgeOS plugin and Leaderboard which we have set up to reward and recognise the role that the Genius Bar students make.

I have narrowed down the field to 6 possible themes.

Would you like to make a contribution/suggestion to help us?

I created a Padlet for this. It has a PowerPoint summary of the features of the 6 choices. All you have to do is read it and press the + icon underneath the choice you wish to comment on.

You can write a comment and give it a star review (out of 5)

Many thanks for your support as always.... Link: https://padlet.com/alfieismydog/htarjpazatsa
