It does not understand math, only text. (x+3)(x-2) is different than (x-2)(x+3), (x+3)*(x-2), ( x+3 )( x-2 ). x^(1/2) is not the same as x^0.5, x^.5, or √x. You would need to put in all of those answers that students might enter. </P><P></P><P>Math teachers are really good at grading correct responses when written in math notation (essay questions). Computers are not.
