Student View Data

We've asked our CSM & haven't heard back, but how does the New Admin Analytics address data associated with the Student View feature?  How does it, or does it remove it from the analytics ultimately shared through this new analytics feature? And, really, the question could apply to any course analytics tool.  Thanks -

I'll be curious to hear the response as well, but Student View may not be an issue since it is technically not a 'real' student in the system. Student view responses are automatically left out of Gradebook scoring so that any tests the instructor has run will not skew the grade ratios for the course. Also, if you try to use Student View for Attendance, you will see that it doesn't work.

I reviewed the Guide regarding Student View. The blue-box text implies that it shouldn't affect Analytics. But it'll be interesting to hear what the actual answer is.

I was curious about live events (since we're testing it out).

When you are using the Student View, the live event will have two bits of metadata:

real_user_id: 196880000000000180 --- that's me

user_id: 196880000000004265 --- that's the preview test user

so there's a way to differentiate what liveevent(s) I did and as the preview user.

Can't say how that'll play out for CD2 and New Analytics...

I checked one course where I used Student View, and the Student tab did not list that particular student in the details section.
