Graded Assignment Keeps Reappearing in ToDo List

A teacher reports that each semester after the first person in her grade book submits an assignment (upload) and it is graded (SpeedGrader) it keeps reappearing in his/her To Do list.

• This only happens with the first person in the grade book
• He/she clicks "Submit" after keying in the grade
• Assignment does not reappear for the student - only the teacher
• This is not a resubmission of an assignment

This is a mystery. Any ideas, anyone?

So sorry your answer has sat here for so long unanswered! This doesn't sound like normal behavior. Great work on narrowing down the circumstances in which this occurs! Your best bet here would be to report it to Canvas as a bug and see what Canvas Support says. Your best way of doing this is by navigating to the "Help" link in your instance where the issue occur'd and then "Report a Problem".
