User can't change password - use the Canvas Open API

Hi,

Our users can't change their password once log in and went to the setting. Is that because we use "use the Canvas Open API" as Token for user to log in. The password is linked back to our server instead of using password in Canvas.

If you are using an external authentication method such as LDAP, SAML, CAS, Google, Facebook, etc. then your users will need to go to that system in order to change their password.  They will not be able to change their password directly in Canvas, because their password isn't in Canvas. It's in the external authentication system.
