When editing quiz multiple choice questions, the text box for possible answers is too small (e.g can only see maybe 40 characters without scrolling). This is quite annoying that you can't see all possible answers in full at once. Is there a way to make this box bigger (or alternatively, a better interface to develop / edit tests)?
Thank you

@rtkchembio ...
Also, New Quizzes does initially provide a larger text box...but when you click within it to add text as a possible answer, the RCE opens up right away. No need to click on a pencil icon like you currently do in Classic Quizzes.

Thanks for the tips. Yes, I didn't see the (second tier) edit pencil to expand each quiz answer box. A bit clunky, and now the boxes are too big to see all on one screen, but at least I see the full answer text.
Hi @rtkchembio ...
Are you using current Classic Quizzes or New Quizzes?
Thanks for the response.
It appears that I'm using the "classic" quiz version (i.e when I go to create a new quiz, there is no choice between "new" and "classic", and from the interface in the videos, I'm not using "new")... That said, the video doesn't show editing multiple choice questions, so not clear if the "new" interface is any better with respect to seeing existing answers?
Hello @rtkchembio ...
Thanks for clarifying that you are using Classic Quizzes instead of New Quizzes. The videos that I shared with you won't cover absolutely everything about quizzes...far too much to cover in one video. That is why referring to specific written Guides can be a better option. It's like taking a deeper dive into how Canvas works after you review the video tutorials. I think you're just not clicking on a pencil icon to expand the answer choices text box when you are editing your multiple choice quiz. For example, when I am editing my own multiple choice quiz and hover over a possible answer, on the far right side of the possible answer choice, I see pencil and trash can icons appear. Click on the pencil icon, and that will expand the textbox to a standard RCE (Rich Content Editor) so that you can see more text (and even format text if you want). Be sure to click the "Done" button underneath the possible answer and then the "Update Question" button...and then also the "Save" button at the bottom of your quiz to save everything. This Guide, How do I create a Multiple Choice quiz question? - Instructure Community (canvaslms.com), shows how you can enable the RCE for answer choices. Check out the section called "Create Answers with Rich Content Editor".
Hope this helps a bit! Let Community members know if you have any other questions about this...thanks!
