Where is it saying that you are a Professor?
If you are showing as a teacher in a course it might pay to let your instructor know so they can either change your role or explain why you have been given that role (there could be an excellent reason!)
The Inbox might be a good way to contact them if this is the case.
How do I send a message to a user in a course in the Inbox as a student?
