The Instructure Community will enter a read-only state on November 22, 2025 as we prepare to migrate to our new Community platform in early December. Read our blog post for more info about this change.
Hi I am a Canvas user in Korea. I want to use this service with my fellow students in Korea but it appears that the UI language hasn't been fully translated into Korean. I found that you're using Transifex to crowdsource the translation so I have sent a join request with username ben*******@gmail.com but I haven't heard anything back yet. I would love to contribute to this projecting by translating the UI into Korean, which I am confident I am the right person to do it. I've been using Canvas at my organization for months and I am a native speaker of Korean and familiar with UI design. Please consider having me in the team. Hope this message finds the right person well.

Thank you so much!
Hi Stefanie! This is Min again. I am now contributing to Korean translations and I have so far made changes in hundreds of lines. However, I have no authorization to review an unreviewed translation or make a change in an already reviewed translations. There are two contributors in Korean team but they seem to be inactive for 7 years. Could you please grant me the authorization so that I can review the translations? Plus, when are the translations reflected to the current version of Canvas after they are reviewed? Are they simultaneously updated or should I make a request to anyone else? What is the best communication channel for this kind of subject? Look forward to hearing from you back!
Min
Hi @benzenekim , we've asked our translation team for an update. Thanks for your contributions!
Gracias!
Hi @minaminkim ! I have added you as a reviewer to our Korean Crowdsourced language. As the translation is updated the translations should update through our normal deployment process. Please let me know if you are not seeing the updates you are making in the UI, if you are not I will work with our engineering teams to get this updated.
Thank you for all your contributions!
