[ARCHIVED] New Quizzes not in to do list

I am just learning how to manage in new quizzes. It took me months to figure out how to get to the speed grader - who would have thought it was hiding in the gradebook?

Another thing that is making me crazy is that when I have essay questions in new quizzes they don't show up in the to do list in my dashboard. When I'm grading I go by what's on the list to be graded - out of sight, out of mind.

My students are so frustrated with me because I haven't been grading their essay questions in a timely manner - the old quizzes show up as needing to be graded when there are essay questions, why can't new quizzes?

@kashbey Not sure I have any great news for you but both of these things have come up a lot in the community and are on Canvas' radar.  I know there is work being done for New Quizzes to show on the to-do list.  One of my biggest complaints is how essays automatically score as a 0 and students think they have earned a 0 when in fact it just means the instructor has not graded it yet.
